The Singularity is the hypothetical future creation of superintelligent machines. … According to Singularity theory, superintelligence will be developed by self-directed computers and will increase exponentially rather than incrementally. Ray Kurzweil in his 2005 book The Singularity is Near makes the case that humans will transcend the “limitations of our biological bodies and brain”. Kurzweil makes no predictions about what lies beyond the Singularity. Seeing this as an opportunity I created the Land of EPIC which is a personal vision of what a post singulairty culture might be like. I present this view not with the intent to be right or wrong but rather as a stimulus to think about with might, could, or should be in such a future. Also, I know that I do some number of things reasonably well. But I also have serious incompentencies in other areas. With the Land of EPIC I have created a stage or setting that is fairly complete. However, it is devoid of characters and strories. I would love to connect with people who have the skills to create characters and tell stories for a colaboration in what ever form or format that best suits the story.
